Hoodz

"Will my life actually work here?" — lifestyle-driven real estate evaluation.

WebPrivate repository
Overview

Hoodz is a lifestyle-driven real estate evaluation tool for the Australian market. Instead of just comparing bedrooms and bathrooms, it helps people evaluate a property based on their actual life — how far they'll travel to work, whether there's a good gym nearby, and whether the neighbourhood fits the way they want to live.

How it works

Users start with a short profile quiz covering the things that actually shape day-to-day life — commute tolerance, important everyday places, and lifestyle priorities. From there, Hoodz turns any address or suburb into a personalised match score, with map overlays, distance rings, and local suburb statistics sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. People can compare two properties side-by-side and save analyses to revisit later.

Highlights

  • Profile-first onboarding that personalises results from the very first screen, rather than a generic search filter.
  • Interactive map overlays showing commute times, transit access, and points of interest around a property.
  • Suburb-level lifestyle and demographic data to sanity-check the “vibe” of a neighbourhood, not just the listing.
  • Side-by-side property comparison with saved analyses for ongoing house-hunting.
  • “Hoody,” a friendly guide character, walks new users through the product with contextual tips.
